November 27th - Beer Nuts Happy Hour - 2016 FINAL
November 27th - Beer Nuts Happy Hour - 2016 FINAL
The club will host another Beer Nuts Happy Hour at Lion Bridge on Sunday, November 27th.
We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM (or 6+ ish).
What is needed:
1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good
2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs - LB can provide with some ice and a tub or two to hold the bottles/growlers. We will pour for two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers and I would cut it off no later than 5:30 or 6:00 PM - it is up to you.
You can volunteer to pour and not contribute beer; you can contribute beer and not attend (but please provide us with a description of your beer and/or recipe and any other information you think someone would be interested in knowing about your beer).
You can sign-up here by responding to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.
Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.
It has been suggested, and I agree, that one way to improve your brewing skills is to seek every opportunity that you can to pour and share your work with others. This one of those opportunities provided by your club and you will have at least one opportunity each month, to do so.
And remember, bringing beer and pouring at this event will enter you in the year-end drawing for a $50 gift certificate from BIY.
As always, don't be shy to PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions.
This is the last Happy Hour for 2016. There will be no Happy Hour in December as the last Sunday of December falls on Christmas Day.
Cheers,
Daryl

I should have some booze to pour. And I will try to make time on my calendar to be there.

Am currently planning on being out of town for Thanksgiving, so I'll miss this one. I'm out of beer, too, so I can't even send some along to be poured in absentia. Gotta get to brewing again, but have been undecided on what I want to brew?

Brew an IPA, a tripple, a dry-hopped blond, a scotch 80, and a porter/stout, then repeat because the first one is gone.tony b wrote: but have been undecided on what I want to brew?

I like it, Andrew. Will give it some serious thought!

Will it just be Pat and I holding down the fort this coming Sunday?
We could use some more beverages to pour.

I could send a pair of bombers again if you could pick them up on the way home tomorrow, or something like that.daryl wrote:Will it just be Pat and I holding down the fort this coming Sunday?

I plan to be there Sunday afternoon. I will have a key lime mead. And maybe the disaster braggot.

Actually, I have three products in mini-kegs ready to go: key lime mead, orange-ginger braggot, and disaster braggot.
I will plan to bring all three.

I can probably bring a growler of North English brown ale and a growler of experimental Cascade-Columbus IPA. But I need permission from the management first.
