Bunged Turn In will be this Thursday.

Please submit, using the labels for the quarterly competition.

And do not forget to submit your recipe (8-1/2 x 11 paper preferred); it will be used as part of the judging your entry.
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
In the queue: Irish Red, American IPA

Do you need the entire label filled out? Or just the name, name of beer, category, and sub-category?

Newbie question ;-)

I have one coming. I assume the standard BJCP labels that I just printed off the internet? I see we have to pick a style. That might be... interesting. Hopefully I'll be able to shake in a little more carbonation tonight when I bottle. Once again I could have used another week. Apparently I am a slow brewer... ;) See you guys tomorrow night.

If you can, give a base beer style. Add some type of description to help the beers be judged. Type of cereal probably a good idea. Not going to DQ anyone for writing something on the label. Just make sure we know it is yours and rubber band it so can be removed. BJCP labels will work for this.

The Label is also available in the "Members Only" forum. It is a sticky, listed at the top of the Members Only Index.

Fred, if you cannot make tomorrow's meeting, e-mail me or Private Message me, and we can make arrangements to get your brew submitted for judging.

I will be running late Thursday to get to the meeting. Kid's concert starts at 7 that night. May have to start after 8:30. If gets too late Daryl will take care of you all or stall for me.

I'll probably make it between 7:30 and 8 PM. I do TKD with the kids on Thursday night (which is like watching an old elephant do it, but it's still good exercise) at Lindale Mall and the class typically runs to about 7:10 PM. I'm going to let Grandmaster Kim know I have to leave early at about 6:45 ish.. so I should be good. It's kinda rude to do that.. but I'll gracefully exit...

I did do a guess on the "base style" but.. Like many of you.. some of the color in the beer... is .... a .... tad bit.... artificial.. so I'm guessing a combination of what it is and what it became to come up with a base style that's close to what it really is. Best I can do.

It is a style of beer I typically don't brew and don't like but I thought it would be a good combination. It's okay. I think it will be very good in about 4-6 more weeks, but such is life. I've got to figure out and write up the recipe. It was brewed in a fashion not normal to me and not that conducive to the typical computer software, but I think it could be reproduced with my notes. Working on it tonight before I leave work.

And... no... it has nothing to do with Pop Tarts. Sorry to disappoint you all. ;)
