August 27th - Happy Hour at Lion Bridge
The club will host another Beer Nuts Happy Hour at Lion Bridge on Sunday, August 27th.
We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM (or 6+ ish).
What is needed:
1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good
2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs and containers/coolers to keep your brews cold- the club will provide a large bag of ice. We will pour for at least two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers hosting the Happy Hour.
You can sign-up here by responding to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.
Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.
It has been suggested, and I agree, that one way to improve your brewing skills is to seek every opportunity that you can to pour and share your work with others. This one of those opportunities provided by your club and it is a lot of fun to serve beer with folks truly interested in craft beers.
As always, e-mail or PM Daryl with questions/concerns/suggestions.
As a note, a new potential member, Joel Null, has contacted the page through Facebook and wants to bring some beer to this. He'll be bringing a few bottles and I'll have him keep an eye out for the club.

Re: August 27th - Happy Hour at Lion Bridge
Thanks for posting this Josh - and sorry for the late notice. I've been focused on our Independence Pour Event and forgot to get this out earlier.
What a way to end August and summer but with a Happy Hour.
It is the last Sunday of the month, please post if you can participate.

Josh, I'll wear my orange homebrew fest shirt if you want to let Joel know to look for the shirt. I'll be there about 2:30

Does anyone know if there were any happy hours glasses left after the festival?
I brought them in for the homemade soft drinks.

Yes, the happy hour glasses are in the trailer.

I'll be there tomorrow with the leftovers from today. Will almost certainly have the Belgian Trippel and we'll see if any of the Purple Crack is left.

I will pour and bring some beers. I have an American Wheat, a NE IPA, a black IPA, and a Peanut Butter Porter.

Hey Joel, I'm glad you will be able to join us. And, it looks like we will have a nice selection of beers to pour too.Schwerkraftbrauer wrote:Twingy2164 got it about the orange shirt ill keep an eye out for it, bringing a lighter pale ale, spiced British brown and some one year aged alfalfa honey mead for anyone that likes that sort of thing, see you guys then. Re: August 27th - Happy Hour at Lion Bridge
Another Beer Nuts Happy Hour is in the books!
Thanks to our fellow brewers that contributed so mighty fine brews for the Lion Bridge patrons to enjoy. And they are:
Pat McCusker
Karl Hoech
Mark Jensen
Tony Browing
Joel Null
Cal Corrin
I think we had 12 pours available in all.
And thanks to Mark, Tony, Joel, Cal, and Travis for hosting....and speaking of Travis.....
Going forward, Travis Kasper (twiggy2164) will be taking over the task of organizing our future CR Beer Nuts Happy Hour.
I look forward to the fresh energy and ideas Travis can bring to this popular club activity.... and hope you to support him as well as you have supported me.
With Travis's participation, I will be able to focus more on our other events.
I am very grateful for all you that have contributed to and participated in the past Happy Hours. It is through your effort that has made and will continue to make this a successful and fun event.
Cheers,
Daryl
