Happy Hour at Lion Bridge, Sept 24th
I'm excited to say that I am assisting Daryl by being our new coordinator for the Clubs monthly Happy Hour at Lion Bridge. This months Happy Hour is Sunday, September 24th.
We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM (or 6+ ish).
What is needed:
1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good
2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs and containers/coolers to keep your brews cold- the club will provide a large bag of ice. We will pour for at least two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers hosting the Happy Hour.
You can sign-up here by responding to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.
Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.
It has been suggested, and I agree, that one way to improve your brewing skills is to seek every opportunity that you can to pour and share your work with others. This one of those opportunities provided by your club and it is a lot of fun to serve beer with folks truly interested in craft beers.
Feel free to e-mail (twiggy2164@gmail.com) or PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions.

If anybody else is able to come or wants to have a brew poured on Sunday and be on the menu I'll be needing to know. Might be printing tomorrow, Friday possibly.

Right now, it looks like I'll be there. Only beer ready at this point is the leftover Belgian Trippel. Octoberfest is in the keg, but not sure it will be carb'ed by Sunday. I might bring a bomber just to try it out.

I will bring "Dark Sweet Dreams" and bourbon barrel aged Porter...whatever is left in the keg....I hope it will be at least a growler.
Reminder - everyone who comes is responsible for bringing what is required to pour their beer....so if you want to keep your beer cool, you should probably bring some ice and a cooler....or share a spot in someone's cooler/ice.
I just empty whatever is in our ice maker, and that is more than enough to get me through the afternoon.
Another strategy is to bring crowlers vs a growler.....then you can swap them in and out of the cooler, to keep them at a proper temperature.

Getting menus printed this afternoon. Just saw on Facebook that Czech Fest is Sunday from 9-5, might be a pretty busy one this month.

I'm sending with Daryl my "Celestial IPA", which features Comet and Mosaic hops. It's in a 25 oz flip top.

Re: Happy Hour at Lion Bridge, Sept 24th
Thank you to everybody that came or sent brew to Lion Bridge today. I've really stepped out of my comfort zone the last few months jumping into the club with new people I don't know and I couldn't be happier that I did. I really look forward to heading up our Happy Hour every month.

Nice job, Travis. Keep up the good work.
It was pretty busy @ LBB with the Festival going on around the Village. Lots of compliments on the beers. Another good day to pour beer.

I second Tony's thoughts. Busy day, it was handled well.
