It may be worth bringing a mash tun that isnt used [if its not too much work]. You can piece thus together from things at the hardware store, and dont have to spend major coin on stainless, unless you want to.karl wrote:I hadn't realized that you were planning on an all-grain setup. Certainly we can go with just one. My portable gear is certainly the cheapo setup for all grain. This might be a nice alternative to the more capable setup. Or, I could do an extract version instead. Or via the Zymatic. What do you all think would make the best alternative demo?

The guy who submitted a barley wine in the Furious competition...
Re: Nov 4 - AHA Learn to Homebrew Day
Yeah, that's a good approach: use Joel's rig for the brew but use my cheapo rig to talk to what's going on in the mash and show that an investment in stainless isn't required.

I'll see you all tomorrow night. If all goes well I may be able to bring my top tier for the event.

A box of Zymurgy learn to homebrew magazines just showed up at my house. I guess I'll be bringing them.

Joel, what fitting is on your kettle. I want to make sure to have the correct connections for my pump.

Also, I don't believe ill need your pump for my biab demo, my IC will have its own pump, and my kettle will be raised enough with the Blichmann burner to gravity drain into a fermenter.

Great, did you order them?Steven P wrote:A box of Zymurgy learn to homebrew magazines just showed up at my house. I guess I'll be bringing them.
I ordered a hundred of them, I used my home address - I do not recall entering any information related to the CR Beer Nuts Homebrew Club.
So, we might get a double order, or somehow my request was sent to your door....which I can't explain how that could happen.

I did not order them. It had to be a screw up.

That's right. It's Travis's kettle.
Travis, What's the fitting on your kettle?

Oh, and I do not have a screen in my kettle. I use muslin bags for my hop additions

I was out of town for the meeting, but it looks like I may be able to come down and pour. I have a saison and an IPA I could bring.

I can come pour as well. It will be the last distribution of magnets and business cards as well. We have 3 boxes of T-shirts that should be sold at a great discount. Should we stop by Benz and get all of our left over sample glasses and try to sell them? Cease and Desist sale!!!!!
