I like the idea of keeping it simple as well. Eliminate needing to explain a fancy acronym to , every, single, person, who is not in the club.

I also like Cedar Rapids Brewers Society. Makes it easier for people to find us that are in to fermentables. The quirky names are great but less effective at easily communicating what our organization is. You know as well as me that having to make too many clicks to figure something out results in "just give up man".

kinda long but, eastern iowa home brewers society? or does that imply to large of an area? is cr the limit or would a larger name help promote growth,

Kind of like CRASH. I like a reference to Cedar Rapids area because our membership certainly covers areas outside Cedar Rapids but does center around the city.

well if no one else has proposed it, hard to go back and figure out on my phone, I will propose CRASH - Cedar Rapids Area Society of Homebrewers, if someone already proposed it I would like to second it.
