Blichmann Riptide Pump

Post by Matt F »

Anybody using the Blichmann Riptide Pump? They have the upgrade for a March pump for $100. May get in the future. The two things I really want are the tri-clamp easy clean capability and I like the flow control valve.more precise than current ball valve that seems to always be too slow or too fast and can't get in between.

I got a riptied for xmas but haven't brewed yet, it is a much heavr better built pump than the chuggers I have, I am hoping the performance matched the build

I wanted one, but I run a 3 way valve on the output so I opted to stick with what I have until it shits the bed and go with the Mark II....damn things are whisper quiet

I will likely upgrade my March pump with the Blichmann head. I really like the easy cleaning capability. Especially since my wort runs through the pump as it is chilled.
