February Happy Hour

Post by twiggy2164 »

This months Happy Hour is Sunday, February 25th.

We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM (or 6+ ish).

What is needed:

1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good

2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs and containers/coolers to keep your brews cold. We will pour for at least two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers hosting the Happy Hour.

You can sign-up here by responding to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.

Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.

This is a great opportunity to pour your brews and get feedback from like minded people who enjoy craft beer.

Feel free to e-mail (twiggy2164@gmail.com) or PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions

I’ll also make up some extra signage letting people know about the re-branding of the club as this will be be our first event since deciding the new name.

I will bring beer and pour at this event. I should be able to find 4 beers to bring along. A black IPA, an Irish stout, a pale ale, and a peanut butter porter.

I'll likely be there, but we'll see if I have any beer to bring. Will let the Club know by Friday.

Thinking of bringing a couple of my meads to test drive on ya'll. Probably the Purple Crack and the Oaked ones. Won't swamp your taste buds with the other 4 in the queue!

Taste buds are ready for those Tony, looks like Lion Bridge has a euchre tournament tomorrow afternoon as well hopefully that'll boost the number of people that are there.

February Happy Hour

Thank you everybody who showed up, to bring beer and/or moral support. There were over 20 different brews we sampled yesterday. A really great turnout, thank you all again. Also, When I was getting the last of my things packed up we found a coat that was left behind. The bar staff is holding onto it.

Thanks Travis for putting this together again. And, thanks all for bringing beer.

If you hadn't heard, the answer to the"What Did Karl Do Wrong" puzzler is: he accidentally grabbed the bag of German Pilsner malt and used that instead of British Pale malt.

Ha, I'd bet 3/4 of us couldn't pass a blind triangle test on that one, unless that was the only malt in the brew!
