Brew Your Own - Digital Content

Post by daryl »

Unless I have it wrong, we will no longer have FREE access to digital versions of BYO.

They have a digital content subscription, that allows one to access all of the content of BYO article by article; you access them through searches. And they seem to provide some content that can only be accessed through the digital content.

I enjoyed having the digital version available to me.

I do not enjoy having to pay a premium to have the magazine and then pay another premium to access the digital content.

Not a biggie, but it does push me closer to maybe not renewing my subscription in the future.

How do others feel about this change?
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
In the queue: Irish Red, American IPA

Not a fan, especially since some of the older issues reference additional articles in the website that are now behind a paywall. I'm not planning on renewing next time it comes up. I've been much happier with Zymurgy and Craft Beer & Brewing magazines.
