2018 Rivers Edge Homebrew Festiv-Ale

Post by carrisr »

Saturday, July 14th from 2-6pm at the WAKE BREWING GREENSPACE
This event is being put together by the District of Rock Island Illinois, Members of Rivers Edge Fermentation Society (REFS) and members of Mississippi Unquenchable Grail Zymurgists (MUGZ).
We would love for you to come down and be a part of this special event for home brewers. This event will be catered toward craft beer enthusiasts and like-minded home brewers. In the past years we have had attendance of over 500 people enjoy home brews. Proceeds from the Festiv-Ale will be going to a local Quad Cities charity. There will be a raffle for all festival attendees and brewers as well.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of event. You will receive commemorative tasting glass and 15 sampling tickets

Of course, those who are going to bring beer get in free (max people 10 per club)! If you intend to go please post here so we can start working on the plan. I've setup the fest app so you can sign up beers once we get closer. http://crbeernuts.herokuapp.com. Setup starts at noon. Last year we took down the trailer and set up a bar.

Also note that this is a different location than year's past. It's now at 2529 5th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201.

I'd be glad to pull the trailer if needed again this year.

On my calendar.

This is a very fun event. I've been every year and they do a very nice job. Plus, it's good to support them, as they have been very good about supporting our Festival every year.

Who is the lead on this? I have the supplies for the 6 tap in my garage that need to go to this festival. I’d like to arrange an exchange.

I believe Brian offered to tow the trailer so I think the plan was to use a bar. Looks like I'm going to be going now after all so I could tow if Brian can't.
