Not surprising after the experience there in June...sad to lose a local brewery presence but we have a great selection still.

Agreed, not surprising, but a shame it happened.

Hopefully the equipment stays somewhat local, and a decent bar/restaurant goes into the space. It's a beautiful space and a pretty good location.

I can see why they did it - getting a bad reputation for mediocre bar food on a business you don't actually control but has your name on it - never a good business move.

What's really a shame is that the brewery just got their license to brew. I don't know the process, but how much work will they have to start over by moving it to somewhere else? Isn't the license somewhat location specific? Plus, all new inspections once they rebuild it in the new spot.

Is the original brewery in McGregor still for sale? Is the pilot brewpub they built in Dubuque, at the same time as the CR one doing any better? Do they still contract brew more beer than they brew for themselves?

I think that will be the exciting news they have yet to announce, and that gets them back to doing what they do...brew beer.
