Willis Dady

Post by twiggy2164 »

I’ve just been contacted by Willis Dady about the Hops for Housing event. They have some space still available and are interested in having us come pour. The event is April 6th, so we’re only 3 weeks out. I told Mike at Willis Dady I’d see if anybody is interested. I am going to be unavailable this day, but if anybody is interested I’ll find out what we’d need to bring. I’m thinking maybe our own ice but I’ve emailed him back asking if we’d need to bring anything else. Please let me know asap so I can get back to them.

Sorry, I'm out. Day after wort pickup at LBB for the rally, so I'll be in the brewroom and I have a dinner party that evening that I have to cook for.

Bump, They will be providing ice, we would just need to bring equipment to pour from kegs if anybody wants to bring kegs. I’ll make another announcement at the meeting Thursday about this.

What are the event hours?

Where at NewBo would we setup? Inside? Outside? If outside, would it be under the overhang - or would we need a tent?
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
In the queue: Irish Red, American IPA

Sounds like yes, we’d need a pop up tent if we wanted to be in the shade.

So, not much more than a happy hour event.

Let's see if the membership has any beer, and if would like to take point.

Last call for anybody who wants to participate in this pour event. I’m going to email back today and let them know if we’ll be coming or not. Let me know if you’re interested.

I just found out I will be in town that weekend, not KC. If we are still looking to pour I would be available.

I emailed Mike back the other day and said we wouldn’t be able to this year, with the wort pickup that Friday we didn’t have anybody available. He did let me know, next year it’ll be on April 4th. So we can maybe plan on having some people pour next year.
