Wort rally ideas

Post by arnold931 »

I am thinking of adding coriander and maybe orange peel to my Yard Sale wort for the rally. Any thoughts on what kind of hops and hop schedule I should use?
thanks.

Coriander definitely has some spiciness that can replace some hop bitterness, orange would be mainly be sweet flavor.
I'd go with a most of the hops for bittering (possibly citrus variety being those are the flavors of the 2 spices) and let your orange peel and coriander dominate the aroma and flavoring, if that it's what your going for. But overall lighter on the ibus dependent on the amount of coriander.
Id use Centennial for bittering (45-60min)for more citrus
Or other route, use neutral hops warrior, ect for the spices to shine

Depends what you want to do. You going towards a white IPA or a more like a wit? You could do either or both.

I would want some bitterness, so White IPA. I like Centennial hops. So I would think some for bittering and some at flame out, but no dry hopping. Sound ok?
