General Meeting Minutes
18 April 2019

Meeting was called to order at 8:10 pm.

Old Business

Club Competitions
Turn-in was at April general meeting for American Pale Ale (18B) - Judging is to he held Tuesday April 30, 7:00 pm at Thew Brewing
Remaining schedule:
May - Mead Madness! - Berry Mead (M2B)
July - Fruit Beer (29)
October - Dunkelbock (6C)
Judging for beers will occur the Tuesday after turn-ins at 7:00 pm, locations to be announced
Mead judging will likely be held at East Grove Meadery (near Mount Pleasant) and will likely be sometime during Memorial Day weekend -- need to work with Pat McCusker to get logistics worked out
Bunged - Theme this year is breakfast pastry; beers must include at least 3 oz. of breakfast pastry per gallon of finished beer - Turn-in at August general meeting and then share at a special table at the CRBS festival.

Wort Rally
Publicized in Zymurgy and AHA website
Wort will again be Yardsale wort
Daryl McCall is leading efforts again - look for invitations to volunteer to help
Must be an AHA member to be eligible to participate in the Pro-Am competition - but anyone can participate in the rally

Contest entry registration opens - April 29
Contest entry registration closes - May 10
Judging - May 17-18
Happy Hour / People’s Choice - May 26
Pro Am registration - June 11
October 10 - Great American Beer Fest

2019 CRBS Festival Planning
Date is third Saturday in August - August 17
Advertising T-shirts - same design on maroon fabric - $5 off first shirt - orders and money collected at February and March general meetings. Shirts to be ready for distribution at the April general meeting. Price is $10 per shirt ($12 for XL and larger). Members will receive $5 off first shirt.

River’s Edge - August

Linn County Fair Homebrew Competition
Plan is to collaborate with IBC to handle judging for the Linn County Fair competition
Turn-in and judging to take place early in the week of the fair. Awards to be made at the Saturday during the fair.
It is likely we will be able to have a booth in the craft beer tent too
