2019 Festiv-Ale

Post by carrisr »

This year's Festiv-Ale homebrew festival is being held on Saturday July 20th. They've once again invited CRBS to attend. It will be at Wake Brewing in Rock Island, IL once again. Please post here if you want to go. I'll put up an event listing on our beer fest app for it.

For those that go to this event, someone will need to clean the beer lines for anything you use. I do not even thing they were rinsed out after Benzfest. Just sitting in the trailer getting warm.

Don’t forget this is coming up in a few weeks. I won’t be attending, I’ll be on call that weekend.

A reminder that if no on can/wants to take the trailer down you can just grab a tap box to take. Regardless of what you use to pour it should be cleaned before and after.

I'm planning on going and have a beer in process for it. But, I don't have a way to pull the trailer.

I'm also going and can take the trailer if needed. But I'll probably take the tap box if only a couple of us are going. So please let me know soon if you intend to go.

I have both the large 20' x 10' tents at my house. I was working on making wooden boxes for both tents. Tried to make them shorter than I wanted to squeeze them both out of one 4' x 8' sheet of plywood. Not going to work so will make new ones with taller sides when I get a chance. For now I can put one of the tents back in the trailer so it is ready for this event. Do you guys want to take a a large 20' x 10' tent down or use something else? Or do they give you a tent?

Sounds like they have a tent area and provide a table.

Space is limited at this event so probably won't take a big tent. Especially if there's only a couple of us. Last year I took my pop up tent and that worked out well.

Come on folks, step up. This is a very good, well-run festival and these clubs have supported us since the beginning of our festival. Even if you can't go down and pour with us, you can always send down some beers/meads/ciders. It's also a good opportunity to promote our festival, so we need to represent well here.

I'll have a beer to send (pin lock keg) and there's a chance I'll be able to make the trip, but it'll be a last minute kind of call.

Rivers Edge is a week from this coming Saturday, July 20th, at Wake Brewery in Rock Island.

We need your beer contributions posted on the herokuapp for Rivers Edge, as soon as you can so we can begin planning logistics.

REFS, MUGZ, and the Powder Keggers come and support our festival; this is our opportunity to reciprocate....we do not need a crowd going down, but we do need beer.

Please get them up on the herokuapp ASAP.

Thanks,
D
