General Meeting Minutes

Old Business

Club Competitions
Remaining schedule:
July - Fruit Beer (29) - turn-in was tonight, judging on July 30.
October - Dunkelbock (6C)
Results of the mead competition: 1st - Tony Browning, Strawberry Mead; 2nd - Shane Freese, Black Currant Mead; 3rd - Logan Loeb and Andrew Muxen, Cranberry-Blueberry Mead
Competition Standings: Mark Jensen (5 pts), Randy Carris (5 pts), Tony Browning (3 pts), Shane Freese (2 pts), Mike Barshis (2 pts), and Logan Loeb and Andrew Muxen (1 pt)
Judging for beers will occur the Tuesday after turn-ins at 7:00 pm, locations to be announced
Bunged - Theme this year is breakfast pastry; beers must include at least 3 oz. of breakfast pastry per gallon of finished beer - Turn-in at August general meeting and then share at a special table at the CRBS festival.
2020 Club Competitions
January - Irish Extra Stout (15C)
April - Red IPA (21B)
July - Cream Ale (1C)
October - Wheat Wine (21B)
Mead (May) - Traditional Mead (M1, all variants: A, B, or C)
Bunged - Cabinet to choose secret ingredient based on membership response to following possibilities: candy (hard, chocolate, or etc), root vegetables. Mixed drinks (cocktails). The membership discussion preferred the mixed-drink option.

Happy Hour @ Lion Bridge Brewing
Pouring at last Sunday each month (except December), 3-5 pm
Hold homebrew gear swap meet at October happy hour

Linn County Fair Homebrew Competition
Format worked well, but need to get more advance notice next year

Wort Rally
Congratulations to Randy Carris for his International Dark Lager being selected as the entrant in the GABF ProAm
Congratulations to Tony Browning for invitation to brew his Gose with LBB for local distribution

2019 CRBS Festival Planning
Date is third Saturday in August - August 17
Register your beers on Herokuapp before August 12
Volunteer sign-ups will be posted in early August
Approved expenditure of up to $750 for advertising on social media under discretion of Social Media Director (Carris)
Next year we will have an Assistant Festival Coordinator
