Fantasy Football

Post by twiggy2164 »

With the season soon approaching, thought I’d bring up possibly having a fantasy football league within the club. Would there be any interest in doing this? I’ll say we’d need at least 6, 8-10 would be better. I’d suggest a buy in of $10-15 (retail value) of commercial beer, maybe more depending on interest. Let me know if this is something you’d want to do.

I'd be interested, any idea what scoring rules we would use?

I’d just create a league on espn probably. Snake draft, whatever their default scoring is.

4 is enough to start a league on ESPN. At least 2 more would be better. If it is just the 4 of us we’ll probably just do a winner take all. There’s still plenty of time to decide if anybody else wants in.

I’m thinking that if the 4 of us want to do a league, we’ll do the draft sometime Labor Day weekendif that works. We’ll do standard scoring on espn, and a snake draft.

Any craft beer friends that like to do fantasy football that we would like to invite....friends of the club...members of adjacent clubs...local brewers?...maybe we can do some recruiting at Drink Local.

It would be more fun with 6 or 8 owners/teams.

I’ll ask around to some of the staff at the local breweries. I’m pretty sure Haley at Thew is a football fan.

Here is the link for the league. I’m using the espn fantasy app. You can login with a regular web browser as well.

I have the draft time set for September 1st at 10am just so there was a time. That can be changed so hopefully we can all draft teams.

Are there any objections to 7pm on September 1st for the draft? Haley can’t do 10am.

Is morning or evening on Monday the 2nd good? That’s going to be pretty much our last day to draft.
