September Happy Hour and swap meet

Post by twiggy2164 »

This months Happy Hour is Sunday, September 29th.

We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM.

What is needed:

1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good

2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs and containers/coolers to keep your brews cold. We will pour for at least two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers hosting the Happy Hour.

You can sign-up here by responding to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.

Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.

This is a great opportunity to pour your brews and get feedback from like minded people who enjoy craft beer.

Feel free to e-mail (twiggy2164@gmail.com) or PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions

I'll be there with:
Swarthy Jim B - an Extra Bitter
Baby's First Beer - an Irish Red
Your Favourite Breakfast Beer - Fruit Beer (Porter)

Looks like we might luck out on the rain stopping prior to the Swap Meet/Happy Hour.
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
In the queue: Irish Red, American IPA

Absolutely. If you have items to sell/trade or homebrew to pour, I’d say show up around 2:30-2:45. If you’re coming to sample the brews and browse others equipment we’ll be up and going by 3.

I'm scrapping my Zymatic as part of the trade-up program on my model Z. The controller board has been removed so it can't be used as a system. But there's a lot of useful parts in there if someone wants them for projects such as: a stepper motor, pumps, lcd screen, power supply etc. Also several decent sized sheets of stainless.

I'm giving this away, so if you have questions let me know. I'll be bringing it today.

It’s probably going to be a last minute decision on the swap meet today. Not sure if it’s actually going to be raining or not.

I'm going to bring some stuff either way. I'll just have it in my van if anyone wants them. Here's what I'm bringing:

Nearly brand-new 5 gal ball-lock keg. Asking $60 for it, will throw in a bonus keg that doesn't seal well for free.

Picobrew Picoferm with ball-lock adapter. Brand new in original box. These are $65 from Pico, asking $25.

And the forementioned Zymatic "parts". Asking price: a beer?
