Feb Happy Hour at LB

Post by twiggy2164 »

This months Happy Hour is Sunday, February 23rd.

We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM.

What is needed:

1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good

2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs and containers/coolers to keep your brews cold. We will pour for at least two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers hosting the Happy Hour.

You can sign-up here by responding to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.

Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.

This is a great opportunity to pour your brews and get feedback from like minded people who enjoy craft beer.

Feel free to e-mail (twiggy2164@gmail.com) or PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions

And Travis was on quite a streak....I'm not sure he has missed a HH since he took it over from me!

Stay safe everyone, and I mean it. I want to see each and everyone one of your muggs either at the next meeting, or at the next Happy Hour, whichever occurs first!

In the meantime, keep on brewing, and do not forget to support our local breweries.....pickup a growler or six-pack every once in a while, get some take-out food too....every little bit helps keep these folks afloat.
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
In the queue: Irish Red, American IPA

I was on quite a streak, had to look it up. September ‘17 was my first happy hour. Not missed one till yesterday. Crossing my fingers there will be an April Happy Hour.

While on the subject, what's Plan B for turning in our quarterly comp beer (Red IPA) and our wort rally beer(s) if we don't have an April club meeting on the 16th?

At this point I'd assume that we won't be having a meeting on the 16th. Maybe we can have a virtual one online but that doesn't help with turn-ins. I'm trying to think of ways we could still do the quarterly comp, but the logistics may be too much. I'm sure Daryl will have more info soon on the LB comp. But that's quite a bit more difficult and not easy to reschedule on short notice.

If you are planning to enter the Red IPA comp, please post here (Tony, got you counted) so I have an idea of how many.

If things are going to be opening back up by the end of the month I can coordinate with people to collect entries. For now it’s probably best to say collection of entries is suspended till we have a hard date that we’d be able to go somewhere for judging.
