Thx for dropping them off Mike. Daryl, there are now 25 bombers at my house. Tony’s 6 more brings it to 31.

Will we be pouring at Lion Bridge on Sunday or will we continue to suspend Happy Hour?

Where do the bottles need to go and how do I get them there?

FYI - I'm at Lion Bridge this afternoon for the last Gazprom release (3pm - 4:30pm). I'll also be at Thew on Friday for their barrel-aged beer releases (4:00pm - 6 pm). Opportunities for bottle drop-offs.

While I have an inquiry in to Lion Bridge about this, I have thought quite a bit about this, and I think we have our own answer.

Several members have shared with me over the past few months that it has been been difficult to be a social club, when conditions are such that we can't be social. And our Barrel-Aged project/Barrel-Aged January are no exclusions to that.

Now, there are several goals associated with the Barrel-Aged project including: 1) It's fun, 2) It's tasty, 3) It gave us an avenue to establish a relationship with Cedar Ridge, 4) It provided some of us the opportunity to experiment with aging beer in wood, 5) It will provide benefit to our members, 6) It is another means of supporting Lion Bridge's event, and 7) It has provided a venue for us to present and talk about our art to the general public.

I think to do proper service to that last point, we need to wait until such time we can have a proper Happy Hour event at Lion Bridge. At that time we will invite our barrel sponsor Cedar Ridge to join us (perhaps LBB would allow them to pour samples of their Bourbon), and give our brewers the opportunity to meet with the public to present and to visit about our Barrel-Aged Porter. That maximizes the return on our investment of time and resources and would also give our Partner, Cedar Ridge, some exposure as well.

While it is disappointing that we can not do this during Barrel-aged January...it will be worth the wait so that our event will be a social one, and executed properly in the spirit of what we are as a Club.

So, let's lay it down for a few months (it will keep under a blanket of CO2) and plan on sharing it with the public, perhaps in May or June - dependent upon how the roll-out of the vaccine goes.

If there are any objections to this decision, please feel free to post them here.
