I think I'm free on Wednesday night, what's the the time/address?
Re: 2021 Brewer of the Year Competition
Thanks, Andrew.
We're doing it at my house: 1722 Chestnut Ln NE, CR.
We'd like to get started around 6:30pm, as we have a number of entries to judge.

Re: 2021 Brewer of the Year Competition
Our first competition of 2021, Trappist Single, has been judged. Here are the results:
1st place: Ryan Stevens
2nd place: Pat McCullough
3rd place: Mark Jensen
We had 6 entries for this and they were all good beers! Thanks everyone for entering. The next turn-in is April for Schwarzbier. Close behind that in May is the mead comp: Braggot.

Well done Sirs!
Re: 2021 Brewer of the Year Competition
Congrats to all of the entrants...I sense that most all of our entries are tightening up towards the top, in terms of quality.
Makes the judging tough sometimes....but tasty.
Congratulations.

Yes, they were all good. After 2 hours of judging, any extras that may have been slightly under-bittered were taken home for an addition of aau extract and brought up the the 40-point standard for a thorough enjoyment!

Re: 2021 Brewer of the Year Competition
Is the Schwarzbier entry due at the next meeting? I'm out of town from April 8-18. I can deliver my entries to someone before or after those dates.
Re: 2021 Brewer of the Year Competition
Yes, April is the turn-in. We should be able to find a way to get your entries.

Re: 2021 Brewer of the Year Competition
If it's okay, can I submit my entry on the 19th? I haven't had a chance to bottle them yet. If you guys plan on judging before the 19th, I can try to bottle them up today. Thanks!carrisr wrote:Yes, April is the turn-in. We should be able to find a way to get your entries.

I don't know yet when we're judging etc yet, so all I can say is that will likely work.

I'm putting the call out for Judges again. Turn in for Schwarzbier is the upcoming meeting. If I can get a couple of judges we could do this as early as next week. For me the best nights would be Wednesday or Thursday. If not we can shoot for the following week, in which case Monday, Wednesday or Thursday are possible.

I can judge.
I can probably host too, if that helps.
