IBU Open 2021

As of right now it looks like registration for the IBU open starts on 1/24/21. Website still says 500 entries but I'd expect that number to go down with the logistics of safely getting entries judged in a timely manner. I believe they had talked about limiting entries to 3 per person and dropping the total number to less than 200 entries.

The ibu open has been pushed back to June 21-27 with registration beginning May 1st.

I submitted a few entries as well. I dropped off my entries at Confluence and then helped the IBU guys sort the beers. They seemed pretty cool. Do you know what time they do the awards ceremony?

Awards is at 6:30 Saturday. Last year they went live on Facebook through IBU's public page.

IBU is a cool group, always one of the first to rsvp for our festival. One of their members Tony just won his 2nd NHC gold (that I know of) for a sour ale.

Congratulations to Divesh and Joel for each taking silver for an Imperial Stout (Divesh) and Wood Aged Imperial Stout (Joel). Those are damn respectable categories to medal in any competition, especially the IBU Open. A lot of awards went to IBU members and a club out of KC. Very tough competition. Well done gentlemen
