2022 CRBS Brewhouse Yard Sale

Post by daryl »

Our next Brewhouse Yard Sale will be held on Sunday, September 26 and will coincide with the September Happy Hour, which will be held at Clock House, starting at 3 PM and running through at least 5 PM.

Kettles, mash tuns, pumps, carboys, taps, keezers, ingredients....if it's used in brewing and you do not use or need it anymore....Buy....Sell...Swap...or Give It Away.

Use this thread to list some of the things you are selling, this will give members and non-members the opportunity to see what is for sale....and perhaps you will snag some "early bird" sales.

Please update the status of your offering, if it sells early and is no longer available.

Let's avoid using this thread for bartering and hold those discussions offline.

9/18/2021 - Bumping this post as a reminder that the Brewhouse Sale is next Sunday - do your inventories and bring your stuff. Posting your list here might attract more buyers!

Brew On!
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
In the queue: Irish Red, American IPA

All,

Todd at Clockhouse has graciously agreed to host the yard sale on their patio this year (2021). I said we'd plan to occupy the lower patio with most of the equipment, and that we will bring our own tables to for the sale items. Break out your unused equipment and bring some happy hour beers to share!

Here is a partial list:
1 - square cooler mash tun
1 - keggle mash tun
1 - keggle
1 or 2 Chugger Pumps
1 turkey burner (proceeds go to the club on this burner)

Miscellaneous smalls like taps, shanks, etc.

And I have bottles....a lot of bottles. They are all clean and the labels and glue have been removed.

Long Neck Beer Bottles - Brown
Short Heineken Beer Bottles - Green - exposure to fluorescent or natural light will skunk any hopped beer stored in these bottles- I used these for years and did not have a problem because I stored them in boxes in the cellar.
Champagne Bottle (750 ml) - cork them or cap them - Green - these are great for wine or cider; or any beer that doesn't contain hops

Private Message me here or e-mail me if you are interested and let me know how many you would like.

I have a couple of things to sell. Classic - stuff that's been in my brewroom for years now without being used. Time to go!!!

Fast Fermenter Conical (7.5 gal), with stand, transfer hose, dry hop filter, insulated cover and extra yeast ball. Brewed a few batches in it, but I never really liked using it - a bit unwieldy. Retail is over $200 for everything, but I'll take $100.

Steelhead pump (5 gpm, 120VAC), with barbed fittings (3/8" outlet, 5/8" inlet). Stainless steel head. Rated for high temp fluids. I only used it to pump water through my immersion cooler, never wort. Haven't used it in years, but I checked it - it still works. Can't find a current retail on this brand/model, but it's similar to a Chugger or March pumps. So, I think that $75 is a reasonable price.

I don't do Facebook, so if someone would be so kind as to post this info there, as well, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Here's what I'll be bringing. Most of it will be entry level brewer items that are priced to sell. The Enotech bottle filler is geared and priced towards the experienced brewer/vinter, but it's unused and marked way down from a new one. Prices shown at the yard sale, unless you want to PM me about anything. Thanks, Logan.

Brew pot, 5 gal
Plastic funnel
Polyethylene tubing 1/2"x3/8"x15'
Two-handed bottle cappers, qty 3
Homemade copper immersion chiller coils
Auto siphon, 3/8" OD
Wine thief
Plastic stir paddle, 2
Hydrometer, 2
Zambelli Enotech 5 spout bottle fillter

2022 CRBS Brewhouse Yard Sale

Post by twiggy2164 »

I'm bringing a 10g SS kettle with a ball valve and I have a few 5g ball lock kegs I don't need. The kegs were bought in condition needing some love and I just never got around to it. They'll need seals, a deep clean, and maybe poppets. Got my old cooler mash tun as well.
