Jim,

I hadn't see a post yet from you. Maybe you missed it, so I will post again. I want to get cracking on what to bring. Is there anything that you are looking short on for the party (side dish, meat dish, dessert, etc...)? Just trying to balance everything out if we are short on something.

Sorry, been spending most my time excavating the basement.  I think another meat dish would be good.

I'll be making a cheesecake of some sort.

I'm not bringing anything since I won't be there; but wish I could be there with you guys. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun. Have a great time and take lots of incriminating pictures that you can post on the club site that I can see. Haven't found a brew pub around here at all (Gordon Biersch doesn't count) but there are some really good beer bars around. They just opened a Gingerman a couple of weeks ago a few miles away that has 68 taps and a lot of bottled beers. Pretty much everything is good. Some pretty good beer available in the stores around here too such as Stone, Avery, Victory, etc. I found some of the new Sierra Nevada Life and Limb but haven't opened it yet. Hope that entices some of you to come visit once I find a job and we can buy a house. The door is always open to a Beer Nut.

Talk to you later,

Larry

Well with as much meat and deserts I might need to bring a salad or dose the beer with fiber.. :)

Ok, I'll probably bring a couple of dips because beer and snacking is damn good.

Thinking a homemade salsa or taco dip and a cream cheese dip. I also might bring some bourbon fudge, and yes the bourbon is still in it.

Looking forward to putting five pounds on with you all Saturday!

Hey Pappy, what do you mean Gordon Biersch doesn't count. You drank at Granite City all the time and they don't even make the beer there! You gettting all uppity now that you live in TX!!!

I just went to the GB while in Wash DC this week. While the beers aren't great, they're definitely swillable. I was particularly fond of the Schwartzbier they had, theWinter Porter was OK, and there was a decent Hefe. But, their garlic fries were awesome!!

Hope it snows 6" there on Christmas!

I will bring some veggies in a relish plate (for the healthy) with dip (for the rest of us). If my Christmas beer is ready, I will bring some of that. If not, I will find something good.

Sorry for late notice, busy weeked. Will only be bringing ham. With only one oven things just are not lineing up for both items. I really had planned on doing the dip last night, but did not get to it. Anyway see you all in a couple of hours.

Hope someone with a good camera brings it and takes a few good pix. I'll pull out the handy cell phone camera but it works more like a toy.

See everyone tonight!

Thanks Pottsie for the great Holiday Party! Also, thanks to everyone for bringing some great food. That was a very impressive collection of great things to eat. Definately another thank you to Dave for opening so many crazy beers from his stash. Hadn't had that many good sours in a while. Nice to meet some new people too.
