National Mead Day 6 Aug 2022
National Mead Day 6 Aug 2022
It was mentioned last Thursday at the club meeting that I would be hosting Mead Day at my house. I don't think we have settled on any specifics yet, but the general plan is to make mead in the afternoon, eat a bit of food, drink a bit of mead, and then send everyone home in the early evening. So times are still in flux until I chat with the coordinators. But let's assume a starting time of around 1 pm.
My address is 5098 Schwiebert Drive, Walker IA 52352. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and on the street.
My cell number is 319-521-6657 if you need to get a hold of me.
I would like to get a rough head count. Please reply in the forum if you plan to come.

I plan to be there but might arrive a little late, since I'll be heading back into town that morning. Are significant others welcome to attend? I was planning to bring my girlfriend along.

I hope to attend, but will have to leave early (4-ish), as I have a dinner party to attend that evening as well.

Are they "dog friendly?" I could bring Buddy along for a poochie play date?

Very few people have responded this far. Please post if you think you may attend.

I'm working on it. Lots of moving parts.

Marilyn and I will be there. I have mowing duty today, so we might not make it until around 2 PM.
We'll bring a charcuterie board, a couple of commercial meads, and some NY ciders...a and crowlers from Allertown...a fruited cider and I think the other is a sour.
Should be a nice day.....dress cool!
Feel free to bring a snack or bottle(s) to share, or just come thirsty and hungry....doesn't matter.
Pat might even have a project or two for us to participate....whatever we do, we'll enjoy the company.
Thanks for hosting Pat, we are really looking forward to attending.
