Hospoda Mini Beer Comp 2023

Hospoda is hosting a community night on Jan 24th, proceeds will go towards Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity. CRBS will do a mini beer competition. Please let me know what you plan on bringing. The list needs to be sent out to Wendy on Sunday.

Best beer will be voted by the public. They're expecting 60-80 people to attend. So, bring samples accordingly.

Event begins at 5:30pm on January 24th. Please arrive at 5pm so we can setup.

Here is the list so far.

Mark Jensen - Pale ale, IPA, American Stout, Gratzer (Smoked Wheat), Flanders Red, American Dark Mild.
Logan - Czech Pilsner, Belgian Quad, Scottish export
Pat McCullough - Smoked Marzen, Festbier
Pat McCusker - Mead, Cider
Melissa - Plum country wine, Orange cream wine, Raspberry cheesecake mead, Apple lavender rhodomel
Randy - Czech Pislner, Saison, Stout
Divesh - English dark mild, Kriek Lambic

The items in bold and underlined are maybe's. Please send us your final list by Sunday.

Fingers crossed that it carbonates in time, but I'm bringing a Nutella Brown Ale (Brown Ale with Hazelnut Extract and Cocoa Nibs). 5 Bombers, so my pours will be on the small side (1 oz).

I will be bringing Razzle Dazzle Berry Mead; Key Lime Ginger Mead; and Cider.

Are they providing ice?

I was going to ask about cups/glasses? BYO, using the Club's Happy Hour ones, or Hospoda providing them?

We'll need to bring our own ice. Let's meet there at 5pm. They said we can help unload in the back if we need it. They'll have some backup ice. They have some sample cups. Logan is bringing about 150 of them. So we should be good.

Fun times last night! Hospoda was a great host - free PIls and Pizza! Good turnout. Folks liked our beverages, too!
