Beer cooler died

Post by brownbeard »

I have to get a new chest freezer, my old one stopped cooling this weekend. So, for those of you who have chest freezer coolers, what size do you have? I am thinking 8.8 cu. ft. I want to put a collar and taps on it.

Also, anyone who wants to help get this ancient heavy bastard out of my basement would be welcome.

I believe mine is about 12 cu ft and I can fit 8 corney kegs comfortably. I can also wrap an insulated blanket around my fermenter and use it for cold conditioning/lagering. It keeps it around 50-55 degrees.

Mine is a 15 cu. I would get a something like brians size or larger. Its not much more to go bigger and I still seem to run out of space even with my size and that is separate from my keg fridge I use it more of a cellar.

That sucks.

If I am available I can help you try to move your freezer. I don't want it but can lend a hand if you need help moving it. I can borrow a truck if you need one too.
