February 20th 2010 Beer Tasting at Millstream

Post by Mr T »

Tony, I’m planning on bringing the braggot, I’ll do a tasting this afternoon, it will be cloudy and lightly carbonated, but considering the style, don’t think that will be much of a problem. I can’t make it tonight, sorry guys been out of the loop lately, the latest series of events has me limited. I was hoping to get the website facing updated as well, maybe Potsy and I can pull a hail marry as I have the rough design put together, just need Potsy to place it.

I will bring the grease board, and banner, biz cards, etc. for Saturday, assuming my keg is a special tap, I’ll just bring the cobra tap, although I do have a single tap box if we need it.

I'll be at 3B tonight. I will get there around 6-ish.

Don't know if Tom B was taking the beers down to Amana today or tomorrow. PM him to make arrangements.

Still have a couple of loose ends to finish up on the Flyer. Big T, is that braggot in or out? Need some kind of description. Talked to Tom B last night and we decided that IF the Farmhouse Ale makes an appearance, it will be as an "unannounced special."

One last thing; and I wish that I had thought to post this earlier, everyone donating beer for Saturday, do you have some held back that could be brought to the Club meeting next Thursday? If not, maybe someone could bring their beer gun and a few empty bombers to fill on Saturday? It would be great to have a "mini tasting" for the Club for those that won't be there this Saturday.

Jeremy do you have any keg post parts? When I dropped off the beer yesterday my co2 tank was empty. The post on Tonys' keg was leaking. I got the popit to stop leaking and pressurized it, but when the disconnect is hooked up it leaks. I have some o-rings, but no post parts.

Teresa had a tank she let us use. Hopefully it just needs an o-ring for serving.

It's just a black rubber o-ring on the keg post. I have some of them. If it's the popit I don't have any spares. Thanks for the offer Travis.

Just don't tell me that my beer is flat! I will be major league pissed off if that's the case!

It shouldn't be flat. I put it under pressure.

I will check, I believe I have a couple of sets of o-ring replacement sets.

Those were new kegs to me as, bought them in Oct and had not used them yet.

For members attending, remember to wear your Brew Club workshirt and bring your beer nuts glass if you have one.

Are we doing any sort of a car pool to the event?

PS: found o-Ring kits that I am bringing which has O-Rings for lid, posts, & Popets. So we are covered there.

Willing to drive myself out there, just seems like a waste of fuel for everyone to drive out seperately.

Let me be the first to say a big THANK YOU to the guys for making this a really AWESOME event.
Everyone raved about all the beers.

Plus, it was a good way to get the word out about the Lift the Limit bill.

Hope to get the pictures off the camera later today (camera's been acting squirrely lately) and will post some if successful.

I really liked the smaller crowd. No constant masses trying to get beer. I heard only good comments from everyone in attendance. Another success by the BeerNuts!
