march pump repair

Post by jjbuck »

Anyone feel comfortable repairing a march pump? Mine slipped out of my hand and fell to the concrete. It hit on the end and I think the bearings are jammed. It hums but the armature won't turn. Are these fixable?

I know you can get new head units for them if necessary. Not sure if that would fix your problem. May want to check some forums like Northern Brewer.

Does the motor turn? If not don't run it anymore. If it landed on th head you can buy a replacement from any of the homebrew sites. If it landed on the motor end you will have to see if you can get parts from march. It shouldn't be a big deal to put a new end onif it's the motor end. If march sells the parts
