Benz Beer Fest

Post by tompb »

May 15th is the official date of the Fest. http://benzbeveragedepot.com/content.as ... =5/15/2010 Theres not really time to wait for the next meeting to get this started. I made a beer last weekend I plan on taking. I should have the new tap box as well (if I can get my shit together in 6 weeks).

This is always a great time and a good showing for the local homebrewers. Whos in?

Benz Beer Fest

Post by BrewHound »

I am brewing my Irish Red tomorrow, so that should be ready in time for it. Could also pull stuff off my taps to support it.

I will bring a growler plus a couple of bombers of my Anchor Clone, assuming it turns out respectfully.

Assuming my Irish Red (boiling right now) doesn't suck I'd be willing to bring it. I may also have an PA using Jamil's "Evil Twin" kit ready by then. I plan to brew that next weekend.

Depending on how it turns out, I should have a case of the black ipa I just brewed to donate.

Sounds like we'll be up to our arm pits in Irish Red. So, I won't add another log onto that fire! BTW - my ingredients won't arrive until Monday, so I didn't get to brew this weekend. Bummer!

I just bottled a Sam Adams Boston Lager clone today. I will donate a 6 liter TAD bottle for this event. IF the left over Old English from the Millstream event is still good, I'll throw a 6 liter TAD of that in, too.

The Benz event is one of our best outings, so even if you don't have a beer to donate, show up and "meet and greet."

I may not make it. I leave for the Bahamas at 6 AM the next day. I will see what I can do.

Sucks to be you, eh?!

Don't get sunburned. I know better than to say don't drink too much of the local rum!

I'm in.

I have quite a few candidate kegs (American Pale, British Bitter, Munich Helles, Belgian Wit) to unload -- I'll just make sure to leave the Irish Red at home.

I have an imperial stout kit that I just bottled last week I could donate from.

Tony - I would be interested in giving the Sam Adams clone a try if you are willing to share it.

I was planning on bring a bomber to the April meeting. Incentive to attend, eh?

Unfortunately I will have to back out on this one. Unless the weather is crappy I plan on riding on the Bud Ride which is in North Liberty.

I will still donate some of my bottles if someone would be willing to transport them and hand them out. Actually I could drop them off on the way out but it would be closer to 11 am. Let me know.
