Pitching Yeast

Post by tompb »

I make a starter on the stirplate instead of 2 seperate containers. I thought about trying to split it between 2 carboys but wasn't sure about equal proportioning. On 1 of the Brewstrong shows Jamil talked about pitching into the cooled kettle while still whirlpooling. The last 2 beers I've made I have done this. The ferments have gone crazy.

I can't wait to try these beers. 1st was an American Brown (out of order for the club comp). 2nd was an IP Wheat that I'll take 5 gallons for Benz Fest.

Jesus must have been a yeast. Who else could turn water into wine?
