Millstream Bottling event

Post by Mr T »

A message from Millstream for those interested:

Milstream has brewed a dopple bock for our 25th anniversary beer (before the higher alcohol law went into effect) and it will be ready to bottle in a couple of weeks. We were wondering if some of your home brew club members would like to come and help us bottle like you did for our 20th anniversary beer.

Bottling would be April 3rd starting in the morning. We’ll provide something for lunch & beer and send everyone home with a bottle of our anniversary beer. We’re putting them in 22 oz bombers. We had a blast last time if anyone remembers coming down.

- I'll work on finding out what time in the morning they are starting.

Any word on when they want people to start showing up down there? I might try to get down there as my Saturday thing now became a Sunday thing.

I just got a reply from Teresa at Millstream. Basically be there at 10 AM and BRING A HAND CAPPER. They only have one. You get free food and can take a bomber home. I am guessing there will be some beer drinking too. I may try to go, I just need to check with the boss first. If you plan to go, post here and maybe we can do some car pooling. I will post if I am in later today.

Matt,

We’re going to start at 10:00 am. I’ll have lunch and munchies for us during the day. Do you have a hand capper you could bring for us to use? We only have one. We have a couple of home brewers from Illinois coming to bottle with us. How fun is that!!!

See you tomorrow!

Cheers!

It was a good time. Interesting to see how the filling process goes when the line isn't an option, about like home. 2,000 bomber bottles took a while but well worth the experience. It makes bottling 5 gallons not seem so bad!
