National Homebrew Conference 2010
Well, we just bit the bullet and got VIP tickets. I'll work out where we're going to sleep later!
To quote the best movie of all time: "I'll think about that tomorrow, for tomorrow's another day."
Update: I was able to go to the Sofitel webpage and book Wednesday night. So, we are set to party, baby!!

This was on Tech Talk today. Sounds like a great way to see the breweries, drink and not drive. I don't think I will be up there in time for the first tour at 9:30 which means the bus must leave earlier than that.

The preconference activity committee presents yet another great event to get everyone in the spirit and showcase some of what Minnesota has to offer the beer community.
Twin Cities Brewery Tour - Wednesday morning, June 16, 2010
Sponsored by Mike Moranz, Gera Exire LaTour, and the Minnesota Home Brewers Association
A luxury coach bus may be destroyed while they take you to several Twin Cities breweries! I heard there will be beer on the bus as well as the breweries. Meet the brewmasters of Summit, Flat Earth, and Surly. Summit is the standard-bearer of the MN craft beer scene, Flat Earth is tackling difficult styles with aplomb, and Surly is sought after coast-to-coast with aggressively hopped beers. Enjoy samples and special behind the scenes tours the regular public does not normally get. Bribes, extortion, and favors were used to bring you the very best NHC ever, and this brewery tour. There may be a few surprises. This tour will include a stop for lunch and returns Wednesday afternoon at 4pm. $60 (includes transportation, beers on the bus, lunch, door prizes).
To sign up for the Bus Ride/Brewery Tour: go to http://www.mnchillin.com/preconference/brewery-tour for more information and to reserve your spot. There are links for other preconference activities as well. If you have any other questions, please email me and I'll answer it, or put you in contact with the correct person.

I know I saw that on the NHC website, considering adding yet another day to my reservations and going up Tueday night for that, Think it would be a lot of fun.
However, I am worried that that might be over doing it a bit. You can only be drunk so many days before it starts to catch up with you, and being that I ain't no 20 anymore 4 days already is pushing it.
Anyone else heading up on Tuesday night to participate in the brewery tours?

I am on the same page. Glad to see some realistic thinking before this bash. I don't plan to go up that early either and the BN party will be plenty to handle on the first night. Lets start talking about when folks are leaving and coordinate some rides at the meeting tonight.
