GTMW tickets tomorrow morning

Post by daveR »

As I mentioned this morning, I'm planning on going up to Madison tomorrow morning to get some tickets to the Great Taste of the Midwest. If anyone is interested in riding along, you're more than welcome to. I have room for 3 more people in my vehicle. The plan right now is to meet at Walmart on the Northeast side at 4:30am. That should get us to Steve's on Mineral Pt. some time between 6:30 and 7:00. Tickets go on sale at noon. Just a heads up, I plan on stopping by New Glarus on the way home to pick up a few brewery only releases. I'm also thinking about stopping at East Dubuque to try and pick up some more KBS. Just post here or shoot me a PM if you're interested in coming along.

Dave,
I'm going through there for business on Monday. I may stop on the way through. Where do you hit in East Dubuque? I may hit that on the way back Tuesday. I'm staying in the Milwaukee area Monday night, are there any "must stops" in that area?
Thanks

In Milwaukee, I've heard that this place was the place to buy beer: http://www.discountliquorinc.com

In East Dubuque, I just go to family liquors just down Highway 20. http://www.familybeer.com/

But for breweries and bars, I'm not sure. There's a Rock Bottom in Milwaukee.

Dave -
I'm in. When you say NE Walmart do you mean the one on Blair's Ferry or the one in Marion?

Randy, check out Lakefront Brewery. Larger microbrewery, fun tour, cool place with some good beer.

Dave,
Let me know if if Family Beer has some KBS left. I'll try to hit that on my way back home.

We took too long at New Glarus, so we didn't have time to stop at Family Liquor.  You should stop there regardless of whether they've got KBS.  They've got a nice selection.
