Funky as in infected, or just not as good as you were hoping? If the later, I doubt that after 3pm any one will care! 8)

Seriously though...I do have a question about these events: I know you usually try to have one or two beers every hour and that most people bring kegs, right? I can offer some of my beers, but I'm only bottling so far, and I don't have 5 gallons of any one beer.

I do have some of my IPA based on Jamil's "Hop Bursting" recipe. I re-brewed my IRA which I hope will be improved, and I have an Apricot Wheat that I bottled a week ago. So all told probably 2 1/2 cases worth potentially.

I also want to help serve and talk about home brewing with people. So I'll help out either way.

Funky as in seriously weird off-flavors. I think there is an issue with my bottling components.

Call it a Belgian and serve it to unsuspecting drunks.

Randy if you want to bring some bottles feel free. 8-10 is enough for an hourly at Benz. It was only about 500 people last year. I think Amy and Chris did hourly beers with about 3 bombers last year.

Bill bring some of the beer to Big Brew or Benz. Maybe we can help figure out whats wrong.

I just moved a triple and I must have a leak somewhere. My CO2 tank is dry! Can anyone bring a tank on Saturday? I'm not sure I can get it filled in time.

On the plus side, I will have the new tap box. It should improve the presentation over the old cooler. The drip tray isn't done yet, but that won't be a big deal.

Do we need to get organized on this or are we just planning to work it out based on who all shows up?

Is someone bringing the new canopy?

Benz Beer Fest

Post by Mr T »

ALL who plan on bringing beer to the Benz fest this Saturday, starting at 1 and ends at 5 pm.

PLEASE, sound off here if you are planning on bringing something and let the group know the amount and container so we can start planning what we will have on tap, any special tappings and if we even need to drop a few.

We will have 2 8 foot tables again this year, and ice/buckets will be provided. Please anticipate on bringing the items you need to dispense your beer. If you don’t have what you need, lets try and figure that out here as well.

Also if you bringing something for the fest, canopy, signage, or keg please try and be there by 12:30 for setup. If you need any special needs from Benz, contact me personally so I can chat with Benz.

Also when you post what your bringing, please copy the previous post list so we can keep an easy to read list.

Who ------Amount of beer --- Style ----- Bottle/Keg --- (comments)
Travis --- 5 gallons --- Porter ---- Keg --- (Experimental brew, waiting to make a final call on Thursday if its drinkable)
Next person..

Brian/Dave --- 3 gallons – RIS - keg-pepsi maybe something else…not sure yet.

Benz provides a canopy so we shouldn’t need one.
