Dave, the aromatic is listed under the high temp kilns on the Briess site. It says its a darker munich, intense malty. It is used in some of the dopplebock recipes I have looked at. If you have a suggestion of some thing else I'll try it.

1 50# pilsner

1 50# 2-row

I would help you share the Rye, Victory and Munich and your specialty grains. Also interested in Flaked Oats.

Tom: Maybe you should try the aromtic then. Brian and I didn't use that malt which is probably why it sucked. Dave

don't worry about bringing anything tonite. I was just indicating a long term need for the year ahead and my potential foray into the magical realm of alchemic mashed grainliness. 1 sack Pilsen malt

I do have that version. It was in my hotel room last year at the GABF. I think the Beer Advocate guys were distributing them....
