Having never entered a club comp before, how do I need to prep my entries for the IR judging? I figure that I need to remove the labels. Do I just attach a piece of paper with my name on them? I might enter both versions that I brewed, so would I just put "entry 1" and "entry 2" on them? I need 2 bottles of each, right?

Randy, good question. now this is not a sanctioned event so were not overly crazy about the fine details but the gist of it is as follows:
1. label with category and sub cat. and the name of the brewer on some paper rubber banded to the bottle
2. Submit 2 12oz bottles or a 22 oz bottle
3. try and use bottles that have not labels on the caps, or other markings that could be identified.

Beer Nuts - a few quick reminders
Were at the longbranch tonight, as a reminder we can only bring beer, bread and cheese.
Also reminder to bring your club enries, I or someone else will take those. please label with something that is removable.
Also my daughter has a concert tonight so I'll be running late around eight, either tony will run the meeting or you all can wait till I get there.

I don't think has been decided yet. Depends on who is judging for when and where. There has been some discussion on a open judging but im not too keen on the plan.

We're doing judging at the June technical meeting I'm pretty sure. Not sure yet if Jeremy is hosting again.

The What/When/Where for the Irish Red judging is on the agenda tonight.
I'm thinking about the all-U-can eat wings, myself. I'll probably get there around 6-ish, so I can cut out a bit early and help set up for the meeting.

I'd like to personally welcome the many new faces we had at our meeting last night. Don't hesitate to ask us questions etc., I think we're all here to be better brewers. I have been amazed at how willing home brewers are to share their experience and to encourage new brewers.

Please post info on judging ASAP. I was out of town last week and leave in the morning for another trip. I will be back in town Friday and would like to get my entry to the proper location. Also, for the judging, I have been seeing Sam Adams Irish Red around town which would be a good calibration beer.
