So what was decided on the judging for the IRs? If that is going to be done separately, are we still going to do a technical meeting for tasting commercial versions?

'T' we need to discuss this, as this is what was planned for the technical meeting was a tasting and sample judging of the Irish red Catagory on Calibration Beers for this coming Wed. I guess I will thow this out then.

I will be holding a calibration beer (sample) judging at my house for the techincal meeting on Wed. June 2, 2010. The goal of this event is to learn to judge and critic beers based on the BJCP style guidelines and get practice at providing constructive feedback to others in a form that is in benifiical to a brewer.

As usual the meeting will be from 8 - 10PM. There will most likely be a cover charge for this event as I will have to purchase beer for it. Bring $3 with you.

So, is this Wed a go for the technical meeting. If so, is there direction?

I would like to learn more about different beer types and how to judge. This would be great opportunity.

Would it be ok to bring an additional commercial IR? Any recommendations?

A big WELCOME to Craig and a hats off to that first batch of beer!! You're now officially a homebrewer!! Don't sweat the outcome.

As far as I know, the tech meeting is on for Jeremy's on Wednesday to do the faux judging of the commercial Irish Red Ales.

All, hopefully this isn't getting too confusing with the tech meeting and competition. Again, tech meeting is seperate from the club comp.

I would like to get the club comp done this weekend if possible. Please post if your interested in judging or stewarding. I know Kurt has piped up all ready. Let me know if your interested and when your free this weekend. If I can get enough folks free at the right time I hope to have this posted by Thursday.

we have lots of entries this year so plan on about 3 hours to judge.

Brando, and Franklin, email me or PM to figure out a time/place I can get your entries or we can arrange to drop them off.

Who was at the commercial judging last night, looking at putting this on Saturday afternoon or Monday night.
