CSP & CR Beer Nuts joint Wisconsin beer crawl July 15-18

Post by Mr T »

All, as I mentioned earlier this year one of my goals was to keep in touch with the surrounding brew clubs and try and work in some joint events, since many of these clubs exist soo close and have existing annual events that were not currently part of. With that said, I was speaking with the CSP brewers out of Pella and they have offered to extend their beer crawl with our club out to wisconsin.

If several folks are seriously interested I will get you more information but here is the quick run down.

NOTE. there would be an overnight stay at the brewery, bed breakfast. Limited rooms available. I've been to this brewery many times, but have not stayed the night.. decent beer, decent food.

I'd be game for this. I might skip Thursday night, however, and meet up with them Friday morning, especially if space is tight at the B&B.

Do they have any particular dates in mind for this? It's hard to see if it works out if we don't know when it is.

Our similiar trip a couple of years ago was a great time, even if you didn't go to the Sh@tty Barn Party.

John and I would likely be interested again, but it obviously depends on the dates.

They have no clue on when the Barn Party will be. Just like in years past, it will happen when it happens. You can sign up for email updates from their website and they send an announcement through that.

Is anyone else going on this? I'm going to be in Milwaukee the 14th & 15th, so I was thinking about joining up with them at New Glarus. Do I need to register with them or anything?

Anyone have any interest besides Randy and possibly myself for the WI trip? Need to know as I finalize stuff this weekend with the other brew club.

I'll try and post a few more items here, but if your serious about going, PM your personal email so I can get you on the distro.

Since were probably meeting the broup up there, the start and end times can be on your own time.

Sorry, if you missed it, the trip starts next Thursday August 15th if you want to start out in WI, or leave up Friday morning the 16th.

Like I mentioned they have stuff planned all weekend, so I might roll up a little later depending on my work schedule.

I am, at the very least, going to do the Friday, 1PM tour of New Glarus. I've been wanting to stop there for a long time. I'll probably also go to the other stuff they have planned on Friday. I'll either come home that night or the next morning, unless I'm having too good of a time. If anyone else decides to come up we could always split a room.

Will likely be fun, but I'll likely be seriously hung over after the club meeting at our place on the 15th.
