Work shirts

Post by brownbeard »

I wound up buying a few mechanic shirts yesterday for my patches. I opted for navy, they did not have gray.

Just making sure, the logo patches go above the left pocket? I have name patches for the other side.

Yep, about a 1/2 inch above the left pocket.

Wouldn't you put the patch ON the pocket, not above it? That's where I put mine. The trick is to put a piece of cardboard in the pocket to keep the adhesive on the patch from glueing the pocket closed!

I just did 2 more shirts for the convention.

What the heck type of mechanic are you?!  "ON the pocket."  Sheesh.  Next you're going to suggest brewing with green beans instead of hops....

Not green beans - turnips!

There's no hope for any of you, you're beyond even going "Queer Eye for the Straight Brewer" on ya'll!

How does a club newbie go about getting a patch for a shirt? My first born is already spoken for...

BA might have some left. I think he was getting low at the last meeting though. If not the club should order another batch. Something we could talk about at the next meeting.

John was asking about the club shirts and patches at the NHC as well. Maybe we should also do another club shirt purchase...it's been what about a year and a half?

They were a big hit at the conference. I have to say, we had the coolest club shirts there. I think the name on the opposite side is a nice touch as well.

I didn't need a name tag. By Saturday people were starting to say "Oh, your Tom Burns". I'm not sure how they figured it out.

If I don't hear a podcast with Tom Burns being yelled in the background...I will have to try harder next time.
