Also, can you post a link for the circuit instructions we were using last night?

I can confirm Matt's payment. Also, sorry about the mess on the pool table, that must have taken a while to clean up. I would have stuck around to help clean, but it was damn late.

BTW - I did pay you last night. You even gave me $5 for change which impressed me. I guess I should have gotten a receipt. I paid you while you were having a smoke in your brew room.
whoops, sorry buddy, guess I just figured if you could afford all those kids, paying me twice for a stir plate was not a big deal.

I edited the post above to reflect payment, I thought you had given me money.

It probably will, I have not cleaned it up yet. As stated early I was not going to go to bed and let that damn thing get the better of me. So I stayed up and built a plate from start to finish after everyone left.

Actually Jim, I did change it up a bit, I didn't understand why the instructions had all the soldering so close together to risk the bridging. So, I took the regulator (317T) and spaced out the pinning on it through the board leaving a row of spacing between each combined set of connections. This made it very easy because you had much greater room for error margin on the soldering.

directions and wiring diagram

Post by jjbuck »

CJ,
Can you post those directions, and wiring diagram for the stir plate? If not, do you have an extra set that I could pick -up from you. Or, if you want, bring them over and drink some of my beer (and anyone else who is thirsty)

CJ, Please disregard my last post. I missed the post with the link in it. You can still come drink beer if you like.

A quick note about the DIY stir plates. I finally received an email stating that the back ordered purchase of Magnets that I had placed had shipped. They should be here on Monday Dec 13.

I will bring these to the Christmas party and distribute, however, if you made a stir plate and would like a new set of magnets for it and are not going to be at the Christmas party or need them sooner. Please contact me and we can make arrangements to meet so you can pick them up.

I still have Big 'T' plate and Brandon's (I will bring them to the Christmas party) I have received payment for the magnets from Big 'T' and Tim Sines. So please bring 5 bucks to the Christmas party or to the following meeting to cover the cost of the new magnets.

Thanks
Jeremy

Dude, we need to hook up and turn my bag of parts into a working stir plate. No hurry, but I'd like to knock this out before too long.
