Wine bottle corking

Post by johnnyik »

I'm looking for someone with a floor corker and a few extra corks to help me out. I need to re-cork around 4 wine bottles sometime before christmas. 6 pack to anyone who'll help.

I do have a corker, however, it is not a floor corker, but rather one of the handhelds, if you need to use it you are more then welcome.

Sorry, didn't mean to specify a floor version, any corker will do. Going on a cruise just after Christmas and each adult is allowed one bottle of wine to bring on board. Well...Wine goes too fast so I want to fill 4 bottles with liquor: Jameson, Bacardi, possibly Capt Morgan and re-cork them. I can un-cork them in our stateroom and drink much cheaper!! Good Idea? I know, sounds pretty f-ing good to me too!! I'll send out a message later when I'm ready to cork some bottles, thanks.

I hope they don't look at the bottles, there arn't very many brown or completely clear wines out there. But, that really is one hell of a good idea. I might have to try that next time.

When do you want to hook up to borrow that corker?

But there are a lot of quite opaque wine bottles.  Wish I had thought of this the last time I was on a cruise!
