Ok all,
Since I did not see anyone chime in on the templeton Barrel thread in the equipment forums. I am assuming no one has any additional style suggestions for the the beer that we would be aging in the club owned Templeton Rye Barrel.
So this is the voting thread to determine the beer style that will be going into that barrel for aging. The general plan going forward is that we will determine a style to go forward with, then we will agree upon a single recipe. Then everyone will brew, ferment, & secondary the beer in their own home. Then we will pick a day and meet up at the barrel, sample all inputs for quailty and add to the barrel.
Some of the logistics for this still remain to be worked out obviously as there has been no club meetings (other then Christmas party) nor any cabnit meetings since the barrel was purchased. So the upcoming cabnit will present data as things are figured out and information becomes available. This is to get things rolling, so the barrels do not mold while determining things.
Please vote for your choice of beer to go into the barrel. This vote is set up to last 14 days. However, please do not wait, again to try to get the ball rolling and the barrel filled as soon as possible.
