Friday afternoon I was buying beers at the Blairs Ferry Hy Vee drugstore for an out of town family Christmas. Can't get anything worth a dang in Emmetsburg, IA so have to take back beers. Anyway, I was adding to the cart and saw a distributor bring in a case of Fade to Black by Left Hand. I asked the manager there if he was selling it yet. He was. I think it ran $10.99 per sixer, so I got one.
Fade to Black is a changing seasonal, this is Vol 2. This year its is a smoked Baltic porter. Not sure if anyone is into that style, but they might still have some available. I don't know if that was the only case he was getting.
He also said he will likely get passed over for sixers of Hopslam, but is expecting to get minikegs. He's pushing hard for it anyway, he said. That would be pretty sweet. Guess we'll know in another month or so.
One last bit of news, he said that his normal salesman was out on vacation when he placed the order, so that's why he managed to sneak an order for 9 cases of Bourbon County stout! Not sure if anyone has noticed or not, but there are still 4 packs of BCS at the BF Hyvee as well as the one on the corner of C Ave and Boyson. Guess this explains why.

Thanks for the post. I am a huge fan of smoked porters and at GABF this year it seemed like everyone was making a smoked baltic porter. I still prefer the Alaskan Smoked porter with an ale yeast but I like trying all the baltics that keep coming out.
