Bigfoot sighting in CR

Post by brownbeard »

I got a call from Wayne at HyVee. And picked up a case. $12.99 a six pack.

I am sure Benz has some but has anyone been there yet and seen it before I carry my butt down there to get some.

Bigfoot sighting in CR

Yes Benz has it and it’s a bit cheaper at 12.49 /six pack if your buying bulk like me it might make a nice difference.

Otherwise I’m sure most he-vee’s have it and can save yourself some extra drive time if your all ready there picking up some Capt. Crunch for the morning.

Oakland Rd HyVee has it for $11.99/6pack right now and it looks like they have a lot.

Bigfoot is not nearly as limited in release as hopslam. We should be able to buy it for weeks.

There was a pallet discount on Bigfoot. Most places that have it have a bunch.

Tom,
Is that a comment on this year's batch? Is it not up to the usual standards?

That's my take on every year. It's extremely bold when it's young. After a couple years it's still bold, but better in my view.

I like it today and I like it tomorrow. Basically, it is more hoppy today and Tom is not a huge hophead like some of us our afflicted with. It does age wonderfully and doing vertical tastings with Bigfoot is a blast. I find it to be very consistent each year but changes with age. Basically last year’s batch new tastes like this year’s batch new but drank at the same time they are different.

Basically, Bigfoot is good and one of my all time favorite beers.

Just tried my first Bigfoot...eh. It was way strong on both hops and malt but since this was my first barleywine tasting I guess it was as expected. I bought 2 six-packs last Friday and plan on keeping them around for a while and in the next 1-2 years trying them out.
