Saw that. I was just wondering if the other folks wanted to pay the $55 or not. I'd be game if others are.

I am not planning on that one. I have no plans for Wednesday yet other than drinking beer somewhere. Remember, we don't all have to do the same stuff. If you want to go I say go. Sounds cool.

I think I have purchased all the event tickets I am purchasing for a while. I'll be skipping the dinner.

I'm in, just bought my ticket.

If anyone else is interested, ticket sales close May 11th, so don't dally!

Since I missed the last planning meeting, can someone summarize what was discussed or plans made? I see the notes about the van. Are we all still planning on going up on Wednesday then?

One thing we didn't discuss is what time on Wednesday do we want to leave? I need to know for 2 reasons - first, will I have time to drop my dogs off at the kennel that morning, or will I have to board them on Tuesday night? Second, since I bought a ticket for the Brewery Vivant dinner on Wednesday night, I need to get there in time to check in to the hotel and make it to the dinner at 6pm. Ideally, I'd like to get there by mid-afternoon (3-ish).

It is a 6 hour drive. We cannot get the van until after 10. At the very absolute best, we are going to get to Grand Rapids around 5. Not sure what time Matt is leaving. 3is is right out. If you are going to drive separately, and so is Matt, and he is pulling the trailer. We need to look at the value of renting a van for 7 people. And taking three vehicles. Shane contacted me, and is going, and purchases banquet ticket. So, I am not sure about his travel situation. We can spend some time on saturday discussing things too. Lets hash it out quick.

If we do not rent a van, I think the club should cover fuel expenses for carpools. I have already agreed to cover Matt's gas, as he is pulling the trailer.

Should take a little more than 6 hours to get there so to make it by three we need to be on the road before 9. 8:30 will probably be good. I am open to leaving whenever that morning. I am driving my car to pull the trailer, and so I can leave in the morning Saturday to make it home around 3pm. That drive will suck. We need to determine where we will all meet. It will take too long to drive around picking people up. I am sure there could be a few exceptions.

If we have a group that waits for the van, I can haul three other adults with me comfortably and leave earlier to make it there around 3. I agree with Tim, with different comings and goings, the van may not be needed since we only have 10. I will be leaving by 9 am Saturday the 14th for those that want to get up that early for a ride home. I don't mind if you sleep in the car. Just keep it down because there may be some hangovers in action.

If three guys ride with me there, and three on the way back, we only need to cover 6 others which may even work in a minivan or two cars. We can haul most of the stuff in the trailer and my vehicle has pretty good trunk space in addition to the trailer.

How about we gauge interest and availability.

Even if the club covers fuel cost for three vehicles, we are probably better off, than renting a van. Plus, it gives us more options while in Grand Rapids.

You want to travel with the trailer? I sense trust issues. Wise decision, you do know me well.

Everyone else, go ahead and sign up for slots and we will figure out if we need a van. Also, note if you have a vehicle option you are willing to provide if we go without the rental van.

Should think about way home too.

Leave Saturday 9AM (morning after club night) with Matt and trailer (I am guessing I may have trouble filling my car for the way home.)

Randy, how fast can I drive with the trailer, is 100 mph OK? Just kidding, don't think my Land Cruiser can go that fast. I stick to 5 over the posted limit tops. Also, what kind of connection for trailer lights? I have a four pin on there now I use with my camper.
