May 15th 2008 Meeting.

Since there seems to be some confusion (mostly on my part) of what the style of the month is, I'll pick up some IPA's as well as the other types of beer I mentioned in my previous post. This will be more of a social meeting as I hope some of you who signed up at the Benz Beer Fest will be able to make it. We will start the business part of the meeting at 7:30 but will try to keep it short. See everyone on Thursday night. Larry

MMMmmmmmm IPA. I have a couple left from my recent trip to WI - I will try to refrain from drinking them tonight. If you ahven't had it, I really like the "Hearty Hops" form New Glarus.

For those of you who purchased shirts and have not picked them up yet, I will bring them to the club meeting Thursday. I have already posted the amount owed. I will also bring some extra patches in case someone wants some extra ones.

I'm pretty sure I'll be there tonight. Brian has somehow tricked me into bringing some of my 7 and a half month old secret stash of Dubbel that I have in a dark corner of the cooler. Or maybe I'll just bring my smiling face:)-

You may just want to come by twice trying each option and see which actually get you through the door.

My vote is on the Dubbel!

A big thanks to Jeremy for hosting the club meeting last night. It was great to see so many new people and enjoyed some very good homebrew. I will be posting meeting minutes soon.

May Meeting notes

1. A number of new people attended the meeting.
2. Reminder to everyone to post when they are planning to brew in the future.
3. Benz donated $300 to the club for participating in their beerfest on Saturday May 10th.
4. Club members are being encouraged to post future uses of the club funds.
5. Justin informed the club that Flat Tire Cafe would be willing to host future club meetings.
6. Travis will check to see if Third Base Brewery would be willing to host future meetings.
7. Quentin will check to see if Benz would be willing to host future meetings.
8. Amy informed the club that the CR Jaycees is also available to host club meetings.
10. Big bus cost for trip to Madison WI would cost $35 a person. Proposed date is Saturday June 28th.

It was a pleasure to have all of you all over last night.

It was especially nice to see all the new faces from the Benz Festival. I hope we will see all of you again at next months meeting!

I was glad to see some new faces last night. Wish I could have been there on time to have a chance to speak with more of you. I remember Nick, Matt, Tom and Tim. I know there is someone else that was leaving as I arrived. Hope to see you next month!
