I got rid of the kids for the day. So, I should be there for the entire festival. I don't have any beer to add right now, but I would be glad to do some pouring. I am probably going to be hanging out with you loons all day anyway.

Excellent idea, Matt. The hops will look very kewl!
Dave, I have a Flemish Saison to bring - the chick beer (Blue Moon Lite). I have 2 tap-a-draft kegs (6 liters). I'm forced carbonating tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed it will be fizzy enough on Sunday. Anyone have a local source for the CO2 cartridges? I'm down to 5 and no time to order online.
I will be there around 11am. Do we need coolers, ice, snacks, etc? I will have a couple of folding chairs, too.
Getting psyched to party!!

Tony I don't think I have any CO2 Cartridges (I gave them all to you when you bought the system). However, I may have some nitrous (not sure of spelling) that you could have.
Also you can usually find these if you can find a place in town that sells cake decorating supplies.

Thanks J-Dawg, but I found some local dealers for nitrous

!
Rapids Restaurant Supply on Hiway 13 in Marion. They also have a lot of beer dispensing equipment if you're looking for a good local source for taps, handles, once-through chiller coolers, etc.
Counting down to BeerFest!

John and I had a great time yesterday!!
Lots of great beer and comraderie. It was good to see some folks who've missed the last few meetings.
Looking forward to the September meeting and hoping that some folks on that full sheet of signups will actually come to the meeting.

I had two different people (2 out of a thousand ain't bad) come to my booth and ask if I had "any of that slappy's smoked porter?" "Awe man, I've been cravin' that stuff"

It seems like there were a few smoked beers at the festival last year, I don't think there was one to be found this year.

No doubt! They put on quite a show with their rig and all the beers that they brought. While we had good beers, we were just a bunch of posers next to them. We need to step up, if we want to represent!

I agree. Time to do a little fabrication.
