Do you mean the July Tech meeting or the regular meeting? If the Tech meeting that's just about a month away. Keep in mind that the July club meeting is normally our BBQ competition.

I also have some simcoe and amarillo to share. We do need to figure out a date that works into our schedule. I'm thinking July meeting. Comments? input?

Bad people drink bad beer. You don't usually see an empty bottle of Rochefort tossed onto the side of the road

I vote for the August meeting. The July meeting is 7 weeks away, which means if everyone brewed their beer today, it would be near its peak at the comp. Doing the comp in August will provide some schedule slack, since some folks will probably have to order ingredients, which adds about a week.

Sorry, I meant the general meeting in August, not the Tech meeting.

maybe the September tech meeting? I know I won't have time to brew in the next 2 weeks. We really should just do it as a tech meeting, I hadn't thought of that.

We should order a sack of Golden Promise for this. I haven't checked with the LHBS but Beer Crazy in DSM can get one for around $60-65. I would imagine it would be similar locally.

I am heading through the Twin Cities on my way up North on June 9 and back through on June 16. I could stop to grab some bulky items that may not be available through our local.

We should see if we can get a bag of golden promise through Joe. Midwest has a sack for $63.99 and Northern Brewer is the same. May also depend on if there is room in my car.

OK, here it is. Surly Furious clone Competition. We will do the judging at the September Tech Meeting, tentatively set for 9/5. The recipe from Northern brewer is the standard recipe we will use. You don't necessarily have to use this recipe, but Surly did have a hand in creating it. I attached the Beersmith file. Would someone be able to attach a recipe in text form for those that don't use beersmith, please.

It is ON

Fyi. The NB kit doesn't use golden promise anymore. It's mostly Canada malting pale ale and Optic
