So Jeremy who is using your 4 tickets? Do you still have any available tickets? Where are you staying? Do you have room in your room?

Hey all,

Alright, I have procrastinated on this for ever, trying to decide how to do this. I have a single ticket left for the Madision BrewFest. If anyone is interested in it; please let me know by email that way I can know who the first to try to contact me was.

I've got at least one extra ticket. Possibly two. Post a reply here if you want one.

Now, see. This is why people should take my tickets instead of yours. I'm much more easy-going.... 8)

Hmmm. I need to install a blow-a-raspberry (or up-yours) smiley face.

I was thinking it might be a good idea for those who are going up Friday if we could all meet up at B3 and caravan down to Madision.

This would serve two purposes. We could help "little T" get set up for the next day. This would lighten his load considerably.

Then we would all be on the same page for partying that night and could have a game plan for dinner and afterwards. Assuming you all are willing to party with me?

Clarification: I've got 1 or 2 extra tickets for the Millstream bus ride. So if you want to ride to the fest in a bus, and have an excuse to avoid partying with Jeremy ( :D ) let me know.

Here's the schedule for the bus trip:
8:30 am Leave Walmart (next to Westdale Mall) in C.R.
12:00 Arrive at Great Taste of Midwest
1-6 pm Great Taste of the Midwest
10:00 pm Arrive Walmart parking lot in C.R.

Thanks for the offer Jeremy. Its not that I wont want, and need some help, but I'm not sure when I'm taking off now on Friday. Probably around 11 or 12 or so. I just go up and drop off my kegs (waiting in line full of breweries vans and trucks) then fifteen minutes of setup. I'm not even sure if they'll let more than a couple of us in, especially with out brewer's tickets. Then there is a brewer's dinner/meeting that I'm thinking of hitting up. We'll (my slave and I) hit you up ASAP. There will be tons of beer drinkin that needs done. Oh, and the time I'll really need help is after the fest, when I'm three quarters of the way in the bag and have to break everything down. So I'm gonna need you to go ahead and stay sober for me so you can be in charge of tear down!

Alright buddy, I was also thinking cara-vaning up would help everyone get situated with where everyone else is. Maybe you might be right Jim, "these assholes don't want to party with me".

T, I am more then willing to help you tear down for Sat evening. However, you are going to have to settle for drunk me as there will not be sober me present at many points during this adventure (After the fesitival being one of those drunk me times). However, you will be happy to know that drunk me works just as hard as sober me, just with the added histeriks of me falling down admist it all with a little more profanity.

For anyone looking to get up with me during the Madison Brew-fest
I will be staying at the "Concourse hotel and Governor's club" under the name Jeremy Orchuk.

I am staying at the same hotel under the name Captain America.

Seriously though, wish I could come but it just didn't fit the schedule this year. Have fun!

Great Taste!

Just a reminder...

Great Taste of the Midwest ticket requests must be postmarked today, May 1.

Tickets are again $35, but you are limited to ordering 2 tickets.

From their web site...

Mail Order Sales
Three thousand tickets are sold via mail order using a lottery. The mail order lottery is open to everyone. If you would like to participate in the lottery, please send a business-sized SASE and a check or money order for the correct amount (payable to MHTG) to:

Great Taste!
Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild
P.O. Box 1365
Madison, WI 53701-1365

Ticket orders must:

Be postmarked on May 1st. Orders sent with postmarks other than May 1st will be returned to you unfulfilled.
Include a business-sized, self addressed stamped envelope (SASE). Please include a $0.44 stamp as there will be a postage increase on May 12th.
Include a check or money order for the correct amount, payable to MHTG.
There is a limit of one mail order request and two tickets per household.
If your order is not selected in the lottery, your uncashed check or money order will be returned to you in the SASE that you sent with your order.

Any order that does not meet the requirements will be automatically removed from the lottery in favor of those orders that did. We will also return any mail orders that we feel are attempting to unfairly influence the outcome of the lottery.

Due to the enormous number of mail orders we receive, we are only able to fulfill about 25% of all mail orders, so not receiving a ticket is the norm, not the exception. Please allow 6-8 weeks for ticket processing, since we are a homebrewing club and not a professional order fulfillment company. We know you want your tickets, but please respect that we have our own family and work responsibilities too.

I plan on going but don't have a ticket yet. A guy in Iowa City says he will sell me some tickets at face value and I should have some info tonight. I'll let people know how many are available. I didn't want to say anything in case it didn't work out (and still might not) but it sounds like there may be at least a couple available. I'll let you know. If I don't get them from him, I would want a ticket, Jeremy, my ole security clearance pal.

Larry, buddy, you know if I had a spare I would certainly shoot one to you. However, as is I don't have tickets myself. Someone revived this thread from last year. I didn't even send off for any this year. So, wish you all luck, however, there were so many last year being sold out front at face value, that if I do decide to go, I will just book hotel reservations and get one out front.

Who is all going to the Great Taste this year?? Can I get a roll call?

I would like to set up a dinner or something with those that are staying, since I know a few of you roll up in the bus.
